As part of the professional seminar held from 25 to 28 August 2026 at Lake Bor, the Conference of Academies of Vocational Studies of Serbia (KASSS) organized a roundtable discussion dedicated to the improvement and sustainability of study programs in higher vocational education.
The President of KASSS, Dr. Ana Savić, presented the topic "Improvement and harmonization of study programs with the requirements of modern society - legislation, practice and sustainability". The focus of the presentation was the need for continuous harmonization of study programs with social, economic and technological changes, as well as with the needs of the labor market. Her lecture can be viewed at the link.
It was particularly emphasized that the sustainability of study programs must be viewed through multiple indicators – quality, relevance, quantity, efficiency and cost-effectiveness – and that decisions on their development and improvement should be based on data and analysis.
The round table was an opportunity to exchange views and raise questions about the further development of study programs, the rational use of resources and the preservation of the quality and developmental role of higher vocational education.
